Amanda Kaplan, Psy.D
Education and Experience:
Dr. Kaplan obtained her Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. She is a licensed, practicing psychologist in Arizona.
Dr. Kaplan obtained comprehensive training in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring disorders during her internship at the renowned Emily Program. Over the past years, Dr. Kaplan has worked at all levels of care for eating disorder treatment. She has been the clinical director of an adult partial-hospitalization program and the clinical co-director of an adolescent intensive outpatient program in Arizona.
Treatment Approach:
In an effort to provide individualized, comprehensive care, Dr. Kaplan is trained in a multitude of evidence-based treatment modalities for eating disorders, anxiety, OCD and other mental health concerns.
Dr. Kaplan offers the following therapy modalities: Family-Based Therapy (Maudsley), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically-Open Dialectical Behavior-Therapy (RO-DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and EMDR.

Dr. Kaplan believes in an individualized approach to therapy. She combines evidence-based treatment with compassion to meet each individual exactly where they are at, while supporting them in learning the skills to create lasting change. Dr. Kaplan believes that each individual can obtain a healthy relationship with themselves, their bodies, their emotions and food. Dr. Kaplan is dedicated to creating a safe space for each individual and family to find a new perspective and their desired life.
Cost of Services
Dr. Kaplan’s rate is $190.00 per 50 minute session and $285.00 per 90 minute session.
